JBF 1 World
In support of its mission to “Promote and facilitate cultures crossing unexpected boundaries to increase understanding, tolerance and acceptance,” JBF Worldwide created the JBF 1 World initiative. Most recently JBF traveled to Beijing, China in February of 2011 for the 2nd international field project since JBF 1 World’s inception last September. In this historic trip, Founder and Executive Director, Jack Brewer, led the first-ever delegation of National Football League (NFL) players to China to promote American football in collaboration with NFL China, China World Peace Foundation, the U.S. Embassy in Beijing, Eli Klein Fine Art and Brewer Sports International.

The JBF delegation participated in a series of outreach programs aimed to mobilize U.S. professional athletes behind global initiatives and sustainable social projects. Using sport as a tool for social change, this unique collaboration focused on developing tailored philanthropic and humanitarian programs. JBF and NFL players joined forces with NFL China to participate in the NFL China – Under Armour Flag Football Clinic at the Beijing Shinjingshan Gymnasium along with the NFL’s first player of full Chinese descent, Buffalo Bills rookie tackle Ed Wang. The gymnasium was filled with children and students from 15 Universities participating in skills training sessions and team scrimmages. Preceding the successful clinic, the American Chamber of Commerce for Young Professionals Committee hosted a special meet and greet for the community in which they could engage with the athletes.
In addition to this international field project, the delegation was welcomed by Dr. Li Yeuk Wang, president of China World Peace Foundation (CWPF) to his prestigious Peace Garden in Beijing, China. At this time Jack Brewer and the delegation held discussions with Dr. Li Yeuk Wang on educational awareness building programs using sport as the vehicle for sustainable peace in effort to bridge the gap for diversity and development.
